Salt Steamed Chicken
A quick and easy chicken dinner.

Ingredients
- 1/2 a Melbourne rooster
- 2 sticks of spring onion
- A few slices of ginger
- 1/2 a packet of "Seasons" brand salt steamed chicken powder
Directions
- Defrost the chicken in a very large bowl (so we can also use it for marinating later)
- Pour boiling water over the chicken to make the colour of the chicken skin look better.
- Add 1/2 a pack of the powder to the chicken
- Add peanut oil to the chicken
- Use a single use glove and massage the powder and oil into the chicken
- Add the chicken, onion and ginger to the rice cooker.
- No added water is necessary.
- Turn on the rice cooker.
- Once the chicken is done, use single use glove to hand pull the meat apart and serve in a bowl.
