Why Linktree Is Dumb

You create a Linktree page. Now, your one link leads to a page… with more links. A page people have to click through just to reach your content. For what? A fancy layout? A few pastel buttons? Meanwhile, the Linktree logo is bigger than your own branding, and basic features are locked behind a paywall. Worst of all, if Linktree ever goes down, so do all your links. The internet rewards simplicity. Every extra step loses people. Instead of making them jump through hoops, just send them where they need to go. Your link should be yours. Your brand should come first. If you need a landing page, make one. But don’t hand control of your audience to a middleman. Own your links. Own your presence. Cut out the clutter. Otherwise, you’re just renting space in someone else’s walled garden—until they decide to lock the gate.
